Our Weekend!

Well this last weekend was pretty eventfull! On Saturday Jake went to work as usual and he got a phone call from his dad while he was out on the doors. His dad had just found out that there long time family friend, who was like another dad to jake, passed away from a massive heart attack. Chuck was young too, in his 50's and jake was really upset. He came home early and we just hung out trying to get his mind off it. On Sunday we went to church expecting to start our temple prep classes and the guy wasnt prepared at all cause he just got back from a vacation or something so were "supposed" to be starting the class this coming sunday! were really excited! Also this weekend me, jake and Zoe went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! It was kind of expensive for such a small Zoo (i'm comparing it to the only other Zoo ive been too, San Diego Zoo in California) but it was still cool! and it rained on us like the whole time! but there was enough trees and tents and stuff that we didnt get soaked. i cant wait till Zoe can be old enough to understand where we are and have fun! got a long way to go! but one of the coolest things we got to see was the grizzly bears! we got an upclose video of the bears swimming right on the other side of the glass, it was so cool! Also we got to feed the giraffes and i have never seen such crazy tongues! they were long and squirmy and slimy AND they used there tongues to pick there noses! anyways we got to ride a ski lift thing up to the top of the zoo and back down and we got to see so many animals. We got a picture of a hippo and a hippo skull (i think the hippo is one of the ugliest animals i've ever seen) but we also saw a mommy orangutang or something reading a newspaper to its baby, if you look closely you can see the baby laying in its lap. But some people seemed to enjoy looking at Zoe more than the animals. People were stopping us to gawk and take pictures and saw "aaaawwww" and two people asked to hold her......it got VERY old. but she did good and seemed to be happy! New Beginnings

Zoe is growing up so fast! Half of me is so excited for the new things coming like crawling and stuff like that and the other half of me feels like she was just born yesterday and i want her to stay little and precious for ever. (Because my mom says they dont stay that way for long!) But she is almost already out of size 1 diapers and she just got into them!! Also, i can officially say that Zoe is sleeping through the night!! wahoooooo!!! for the last week she's been going to sleep around 11:30 or 12 at night and doesnt wake up till around 7:00 in the morning!!!! I LOVE HER!!!

Also! Zoe has moved on in the "taking baths" area! She has outgrown the newborn net in her baby tub and took her first bath without it!! I was worried she would fall over or be uncomfortable but she sat up the whole time and seemed to love it!! she was coo'ing and babbling like crazy

The other thing thats new and improved is her gripping and grabbing skills! For one thing, just about every time I'm holding her she finds a way to grab and yank my hair :) and i let her. She's always grabbing on to her shirt or her blanket or if she's in her car seat she's got her hands gripped around the straps. but the cutest things so far is her grabbing her binky out of her mouth and waving in front of her face! its so cute!

Zoe is also getting so much stronger in the legs. If we stand her up and support her balance, she can stand on her own for a while! She likes it too, she always gets so animated everytime!

Then of course her beautiful face is smiling more than ever!! She smiles on command now, well not really command but all you have to do is smile at her and say her name and she'll smile right back everytime :) or if not smiling she'll give some funny facial expression. haha

Gorgeous at 2 Months Old!

I cant believe its been two months already! I remember feeling like her birth was never gonna come and now she's 2 months! She smiles and can stand when supported and she coo's and she's getting better at sleeping. She loves the swing, no matter what it always calms her down! She also loves watching t.v, only if its disney channel! She seems to loves baths cause she always calms down and never cries and me and jake love her more then ever! Here are some I took yesterday :)
